University Description

History İzmir Bakırçay University was founded as a State University in 20.08.2016 with the law no. 6745 and with the additional article 169 published in Official Gazette no. 29824, in 07.09.2016 it has been decided to include 5 Faculties (Arts and Sciences, Law, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, and Health Sciences), 3 Schools (Vocational, Justice, and Foreign Languages) and 3 Institutes (Institutes of Science, Social and Health Sciences). In addition, with the decree dated 26.03.2018 and numbered 2018/11593 published in the Official Gazette dated 25.05.2018 and numbered 30431, İzmir Bakırçay University Faculty of Medicine has been given 30 quotas and added to our faculties. Professor Mustafa Berktaş was appointed as the Rector of the University with the decision of our President dated 29.08.2017 and numbered 2017/51 and started his duty on 11.09.2017.Our MissionIzmir Bakırçay University is a university assuming a leading role in producing high value-added technology in Turkey, and in these terms, it is a university applying the principle to raise knowledgeable and virtuous professionals needed by the society.Our VisionTo develop into a valued techno-entrepreneurship university with a project-oriented structure in terms of technology, encouraging entrepreneurship with its ecosystem and having a sustainable corporate structure.

  • Copy of an official document certifying successful completion of high school (diploma or school leaving certificate) if available at the time of application. If not available, provide any document demonstrating your education status
  • Copy of an official high school transcript showing all your courses taken during your high school study
  • Exam results if you are applying with an exam (national or internationally recognized), such as SAT
  • Copy of English language proficiency exam if available
  • Copy of Turkish language proficiency exam for Turkish taught degree programs
