The History of ADUFirst Rectorate Building - 1992 (İlk Rektörlük Binası – 1992)Garden of Aydın High School - December 1993 (Aydın Lisesi Bahçesi - Aralık 1993)Construction of Central Campus- May 1997 (Kampüs İnşaatı - Mayıs 1997)Rectorate Building, Central CampusAdnan Menderes University was established in 1992 on acceptance of the amendment of Law No. 41 of Decision No: 3837 dated 03.07.1992 concerning the Governance of Higher Education Institutions along with the amendment of Decisions 78 and 190 of Law No. 2809Our University was founded with 5 faculties (the Faculty of Arts and Science, Nazilli Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Agriculture), 3 Graduate Schools; the School of Tourism and Hotel Management and Söke Vocational School. Our University has become a Higher Education Institute which gives education in a total of 71 different academic units: in 18 Faculties, 3 Graduate Schools, 1 State Conservatory, 5 Schools, 18 Vocational Schools and 26 Research and Application Centres. Our university, which first started to give education in the Aydın and Nazilli districts, is now continuing education on 17 campuses: in Aydın city, Çakmar, Işıklı, İsabeyli, Didim Akbük, Nazilli Sümer, Çine Süleyman Pekgüzel and Karacasu campuses along with Kuşadası, Atça, Sultanhisar, Yenipazar, Söke, Davutlar, Bozdoğan, Köşk and Buharkent campuses.Our Mission:To educate graduates and researchers who are able to identify national and universal problems and produce solutions and follow the principles of Atatürk with sufficient knowledge, ethical values, awareness of social responsibility and are rational, creative, productive and able to follow world developments.To carry out projects and original research which will contribute to national development and universal knowledge by developing solutions to national and global problems. To provide high quality, reliable and fast service related to societal needs and sensitive to the environment.Our Vision:To be a university which is recognized in Turkey and abroad in the fields of education, research and services, and who our staff and students are proud to be associated with.
